We are seeking industrial partners who are interested in a novel approach for solving power grid problems. Our main aim is to solve these problems to proven global optimality, that is, to provide both a feasible solution of good quality and an optimality gap.
Most of the software used in industry relies on heuristic approaches that find a solution quickly without providing any guarantee on its quality. The aim of the HEXAGON project is to bridge the gap between exact algorithms with solid optimality guarantees and practical use cases in the power industry.
